Mish Delish Good Food Blog

I’m a professional food stylist and currently prepping my own series of cookbooks and a cooking show. In my food catering business, Mishka La Mushka, I catered private and corporate functions and events big and small, designed food in hat boxes for the Spring Racing Carnival and created too many themed kids birthday parties to mention. But now I love food styling and sharing my fun food ideas with mums wanting to create restaurant-quality meals at home, for kids and family. So let’s get cooking!

Whipped pumpkin hummus recipe

This is my new favourite hummus. For some reason my straight up hummus is usually pretty bland and I have to up the salt considerably to boost the flavour. With this one I don’t, it’s got a delicious sweetness to it and a great texture. You’ll love it.

Coconut & Oat Cookies {gf}

So with school back this week, some lunchbox inspo was definitely on the cards. These perfectly crunchy cookies are a combo of a coconut macaroon and an Anzac and they are they are the bomb! Thanks for the photo Guy Lavoipierre 😉

Fresh Broad Bean Falafel Recipe

Once you’ve had freshly made falafel, it’s hard to turn back. Besides, it’s a great way to utilise delicious broad beans which are in abundance at the moment. You’ll need to soak the chickpeas overnight, so make sure you begin this recipe a day ahead.

Banana Protein Ball Recipe

I don’t know about you,  but I always have more than one over ripe banana to use up and this recipe conveniently calls for 3! These little numbers are also a healthy little pick-me-up post workout and perfect for school lunches too.

Date, Walnut & Chia Slice Recipe

This protein packed health slice is perfect for the afternoon slump or after a bout of intensive exercise. It’s naturally sweet and sugar free and I’ve been watching my sweet tooth of a husband dive into it every chance he gets. On the subject of exercise, I have remained committed…

Chocolate Tahini Crepe Recipe

My husband came home with a jar of chocolate tahini on the weekend. Wow, what a delicious find, particularly as it’s better for you and not as sweet as some other chocolate spreads.  We smeared it on freshly made crepes and served them with Mornington Peninsula sour cherries that I…

Savoury Bread Tartlets Recipe

School holidays are well under way and I don’t know about your kids, but mine seem to be hungrier than usual. I’ve been experimenting with healthy pastry free quiches for lunch, there are so many fillings you could do, but these are our current faves.
