Cinnamon Treacle Teddybear Biscuits
SERVES: PREP: COOK: PRINT CONVERSIONS
Admittedly, I went to make gingerbread and due to missing ingredients created these yummy teddy bear biscuits. Bo and I had so much fun making these, the dough is really kid friendly. We piped white chocolate eyes and buttons, but any decoration will do. As well as being dunked in my tea, these teddies will be going in the lunchboxes this week.

You’ll need:

125g softened butter
1/2 cup brown sugar (packed in tightly)
1/2 cup treacle
1 egg yolk
2.5 cups plain flour (plus extra for dusting bench)
1 heaped tbs ground cinnamon
1 tsp bicarb soda

Pre-heat oven to 180C and line 2 baking trays with baking paper.

Cream the sugar and butter together until pale. Add the treacle and egg yolk and beat until combined.

Stir in the flour, cinnamon and bicarb soda and mix until thoroughly combined. Turn onto a floured surface and knead until smooth.

Press dough into a rectangle shape, cover with cling film and place in the fridge for 20 minutes.

Flour your bench and roll out the dough to about 4mm thick. Using a cutter of your choice cut out shapes and place on the prepared trays. Bake for 10 minutes or until lightly golden.
